Pattaya Police Promote Safe Driving, Distribute Helmets to Locals and Tourists for Songkran 2025

Pattaya-

On April 12, 2025, Pol. Col. Anek Sa-thongyoo, Chief of the Pattaya City Police Station, along with Pol. Lt. Col. Siriwat Khachamat, Deputy Superintendent (Prevention), Pol. Lt. Col. Phanuphong Nimsuwan, Traffic Inspector, and volunteer traffic assistants, distributed safety helmets to motorcyclists not wearing them in front of Pattaya City Police Station.

Pol. Col. Anek stated to The Pattaya News team that this helmet distribution aligns with the National Police Agency’s policy, particularly during Songkran, as most accidents involve motorcyclists. Out of concern for public safety, the National Police Agency and Pattaya City Police Station provided helmets as Songkran 2025 gifts instead of issuing fines to those passing through the area.

This program aims to prioritize safety, urging people to wear helmets and avoid driving under the influence of alcohol to ensure the safety of all road users. Locals and tourists showed great interest, receiving helmets from officers, which brought smiles and joy to many.
