Thailand, April 10th, 2025 — Mr. Kerati Kijmanawat, President of Airports of Thailand (AOT), announced that Suvarnabhumi Airport has been ranked the 39th best airport in the world by Skytrax, moving up 19 places from last year’s 58th position.
The airport also placed 3rd among the world’s most improved airports and ranked 6th among those handling 50–60 million passengers annually.
Meanwhile, Don Mueang Airport, known for serving low-cost carriers, was ranked the 8th best low-cost airport in the world—up from 10th place in 2024.
These rankings are based on global passenger surveys conducted by Skytrax, a UK-based aviation research and consultancy firm. The results were officially announced on April 9th at the Passenger Terminal Expo 2025 in Madrid, Spain.
Kerati credited the achievement to the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders and emphasized AOT’s ongoing commitment to infrastructure, technology, and service upgrades to raise Thailand’s aviation standards globally.
