Pattaya —

A Canadian man has reported that a group of transgender individuals allegedly stole his gold necklace worth up to $3,000 USD while he was walking along Pattaya Beach Road early Friday morning.

At 1:06 AM on April 11th, Mr. Nirbjit, a 57-year-old Canadian tourist, filed a complaint with Pattaya Police. He reported that while he was walking in front of a McDonald’s on Pattaya Beach Road, a group of 4 to 5 transgender individuals approached him, greeted him with “hello,” and proceeded to hug and touch him inappropriately.

Mr. Nirbjit stated that he did not respond to their advances and walked away from the group. Shortly afterward, he realized that his gold necklace, including a pendant weighing approximately 20 grams and valued at around 2,000 to 3,000 USD, had gone missing. He believed it was stolen by the transgenders.

Police escorted the victim to the scene of the incident to review CCTV footage and question nearby witnesses in order to track down the suspects for legal action.
