Mrs. Thailand World Committee Meets Pattaya Mayor to Promote Local Tourism Initiatives

Pattaya, Thailand – This weekend, at the meeting room of Pattaya City Hall, Mrs. Watinee Jins, Director of the Mrs. Thailand World pageant for Chonburi Province, along with Mrs. Jidapa Chummuang, the pageant’s manager, met with Pattaya Mayor Poramese Ngampichet. The purpose of the visit was to present the “Queens of Every Province” campaign, part of the Mrs. Thailand World pageant in Chonburi, and seek guidance on organizing activities to promote local areas and attract both domestic and international tourists.

Mrs. Watinee Jins explained that Mrs. Thailand World is a platform dedicated to empowering married women, providing them an opportunity to showcase their potential and serve as positive role models in society. She highlighted the success of previous editions, noting that married women have demonstrated remarkable capabilities and have become esteemed figures, contributing to family, society, and the economy.

For 2025, the pageant is expanding its reach across all provinces in Thailand under the campaign “Mrs. Thailand World 2025: Queens of Every Province.” This initiative aims to inspire and promote the role of married Thai women nationwide, selecting representatives from each province to compete in the national finals in Bangkok. In Chonburi Province, five finalists have already been shortlisted, with the provincial judging scheduled for early June this year.
During the meeting, Mayor Poramese offered valuable suggestions, recommending that the pageant committee involve contestants in Pattaya’s iconic Wan Lai festival. He proposed that the contestants participate in activities on April 19 at Wat Chaimongkol (a royal temple), including the traditional bathing of Buddha statues and the pouring of water to bless the elderly, a gesture believed to bring good fortune.

The collaboration between the Mrs. Thailand World committee and Pattaya’s local government shows a shared commitment to boosting tourism and celebrating Thai culture.
