Pattaya – March 28, 2025
At 2:30 AM on March 28, 2025, Police Lieutenant Colonel Sai Jai Khamjulla, Investigation Chief at Pattaya City Police Station, received a report of a citizen-led apprehension. A group of Bolt motorcycle drivers had detained a suspect accused of stealing a motorcycle near a convenience store in the middle of Soi Khao Phai. Following the report, patrol officers were dispatched to the scene for further investigation.
At the location, the Bolt drivers, supported by local residents, had successfully restrained the suspect, later identified as 30-year-old Fuengfa. Alongside the suspect was a white Vespa motorcycle. Also present were 16-year-old Ms. Kirsa, the vehicle’s owner, and her mother, who confirmed ownership of the motorcycle.
According to Ms. Kirsa, the theft occurred on March 25, 2025, at 5:00 PM. She had parked her white Vespa along Jomtien Beach Road close to Villa Navin. When she returned, the motorcycle was gone. She reported the theft to the Jomtien Dongtan Curve Substation and reviewed nearby CCTV footage, which revealed an individual resembling a transgender woman riding off with her Vespa. Ms. Kirsa then posted the CCTV images to the Pattaya Bolt Drivers’ Facebook group, seeking assistance.
Today, members of the Bolt driver community contacted her, reporting that they had spotted the stolen Vespa being ridden by a transgender woman in Soi Khao Phai in South Pattaya. The group tracked down and apprehended the suspect, notifying Ms. Kirsa to come verify the vehicle. Upon arrival, she confirmed it was indeed her motorcycle and alerted the police to arrest the perpetrator.
Early actions by the authorities included transporting both the suspect and the motorcycle owner to the police station for further questioning. The vehicle was formally returned to Ms. Kirsa with proper documentation, while the suspect, Fuengfa, faces legal proceedings as the investigation continues.
