A violent confrontation unfolded in Sattahip today when a police corporal from the Immigration Division allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home, assaulted her, and attacked a responding officer, before fleeing with the officer’s service weapon.
The incident began when Ms. Anonglak, a 28-year-old homeowner, called the police for help after her ex-boyfriend, Pol. Cpl. Kittisak Detchoo, 37, arrived at her residence in Village 4 in the Sattahip Subdistrict, and began allegedly smashing her glass door in an apparent attempt to harm her. She reported that Kittisak, who has an alleged history of harassment and a volatile temper, had been stalking her since their breakup.
Pol. Sub-Lt. Phatsakorn Phachurabiebnah, a deputy inspector stationed at the Ban Tao Than police box, responded to the distress call. Upon arrival, he questioned Kittisak about his disruptive behavior. The suspect reportedly snapped back, “It’s my house, why wouldn’t I have the right to make a scene?” before challenging the officer’s authority, saying, “You’re not a cop, what right do you have to carry a gun?”
The situation escalated when Kittisak allegedly attempted to force his way into the house to attack Ms. Anonglak. As Pol. Sub-Lt. Phatsakorn intervened, he was kicked in the face and brutally beaten by the suspect, suffering broken teeth, a swollen head, and severe bleeding. Kittisak then seized the officer’s 9mm service firearm and fled the scene in a sedan.
Pol. Col. Komsan Khamtunkaew, Superintendent of Sattahip Police Station, was notified of the assault and immediately dispatched a team of over 20 investigators to the location. Responding officers found Pol. Sub-Lt. Phatsakorn in his blood-soaked uniform and rushed him to Queen Sirikit Hospital under the Naval Medical Department for urgent treatment.
Ms. Anonglak recounted her ordeal to authorities, describing Kittisak’s repeated harassment and violent tendencies. “He came to my house today intent on hurting me, maybe even killing me,” she said. “I called the police for help, but he attacked the officer too.”
Pol. Col. Komsan condemned the actions of the suspect, stating, “This is an outrageous act— a police officer attacking a fellow officer on duty, causing serious injuries, and stealing a service weapon. We will pursue this case to the fullest extent of the law.” He has ordered the investigative team to track down Kittisak urgently and is expediting a request for an arrest warrant, citing the severity of the crime. The suspect faces both criminal charges and disciplinary action.
Authorities are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to Kittisak’s swift apprehension as the manhunt continues.
