Motorcyclist Trapped and Injured in Collision with Sedan in South Pattaya

Pattaya —

A collision between a sedan and a motorcycle at a South Pattaya intersection early on March 25th left one man seriously injured and trapped in the wreckage.

At 3:06 AM, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Center received a report of an accident at an intersection in South Pattaya. Upon receiving the report, rescue volunteers were dispatched to the scene.

A large crowd had gathered at the site. Authorities found a black Toyota Yaris, whose driver had lost control and crashed into a black Honda PCX motorcycle. The impact sent the motorcycle skidding onto the sidewalk, leaving it heavily damaged. In front of the sedan, 37-year-old Mr. Noppol was found trapped against the car’s bumper.

Rescue workers used hydraulic tools to free him, provided first aid, and urgently transported him to the hospital.

A witness, 50-year-old Mr. Surasak, stated that he was waiting at a red light when he saw the injured motorcyclist riding out of the South Pattaya entrance. At the time, the traffic light was green for the motorcycle, which proceeded to cross towards Wat Tham.

However, a sedan traveling at high speed on Sukhumvit Road crashed into the motorcycle and then lost control. The injured rider was stuck against the car, prompting Mr. Surasak to immediately call for help.

The driver of the sedan, 24-year-old Mr. Thaksin, explained that as he reached the intersection, the motorcycle suddenly crossed his path after the light turned green. He attempted to brake but was unable to stop in time, resulting in the collision.

Police are investigating the accident.
