At 8:00 PM on March 23, 2025, a social media user posted a CCTV clip showing the behavior of a thief who effortlessly stole a motorcycle. The incident occurred at around 4:15 AM on March 23, in Soi Buakhao.

The poster included the following message:

Recently, reporters visited the scene of the incident, located between Soi Buakhao in Central Pattaya and Pattaya Third Road. There, they met the motorcycle’s owner, Mr. Thanaphon Srikham, a 20-year-old student at a sports college in Chonburi Province. He provided details to the reporters, explaining that the previous night, he had attended a senior’s birthday celebration.

A friend borrowed his motorcycle to run an errand and later returned it, parking it in the designated spot within the soi. His friend called to confirm the bike was parked, but in a moment of carelessness, Mr. Thanaphon told his friend to hide the key—a remote key—in the front storage compartment of the motorcycle. When he later went to retrieve the bike to head home, he discovered it was gone.

He then requested to view nearby CCTV footage and saw a young man scouting his motorcycle multiple times. Once the thief noticed the key hidden in the front compartment, he simply rode off with the bike. Mr. Thanaphon reported the theft to the Pattaya City Police Station and pleaded for their help in tracking down the culprit, as he has been severely inconvenienced by the loss.

Without his motorcycle, he has no means of transportation to school. His relatives have since posted about the incident on Facebook, offering a reward for anyone providing leads that could lead to the thief’s arrest or the recovery of the motorcycle.
