At 1:00 PM on March 23rd, Nongprue Police received a report of a fire at a residential area in Soi Thung Klom-Tanman 15. Upon receiving the report, police rushed to the scene along with three fire trucks from Nongprue Municipality and rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation.
Upon arrival, authorities found a row of semi-concrete, semi-wooden houses with metal roofs engulfed in flames. The fire was spreading rapidly, producing thick smoke that forced the evacuation of more than 20 residents to a safer location. Firefighters battled the blaze for over 45 minutes before bringing it under control.
Initial inspections revealed that two houses were completely destroyed, with all belongings inside burned to ashes. Two individuals sustained burns while trying to rescue their possessions. Both were injured while running through the flames to retrieve their belongings.
Mr. Uthai, the owner of the house where the fire started, stated that he had been working inside his room when he heard an explosion. However, he was unsure of the source since he was wearing headphones at the time.
