Pattaya —
A 15-year-old boy was brutally attacked with a knife in Pattaya after a dispute over a loud motorcycle exhaust escalated into violence.
At 1:06 AM on March 14th, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Center received a report of an assault in Soi Wat Boon Samphan. Upon receiving the report, the center coordinated with officers from Nongprue Police Station and rescue volunteers to respond to the scene.
There, they found “Jeng” (alias), a 15-year-old male, suffering from a severe head wound caused by a sharp weapon, suspected to be a knife. Blood covered his entire body, and his friends surrounded him in concern. Rescue workers provided first aid before urgently transporting him to the hospital. Meanwhile, the suspects had fled before the police arrived.
According to Jeng, he and his friends had been riding motorcycles to buy snacks when the loud exhaust noise from one of their bikes led another group of teenagers to shout insults at them.
One of Jeng’s friends shouted back with offensive language. Later, as they were riding back, they encountered three individuals from the other group waiting for them. The suspects then chased and attacked Jeng’s group with knives. Jeng lost control of his motorcycle and fell, at which point he was struck in the head with the weapon.
Initially, police officers advised him to file an official complaint with investigators at Nongprue Police Station to track down the perpetrators and proceed with legal action.
