Banglamung Launches Five-Month Anti-Drug Project in Pattaya Communities

Pattaya —

Banglamung officials have launched a five-month anti-drug project in the Chumsai and Arunothai communities to prevent drug problems.

At Chumsai Community Center, Banglamung District Chief Mr. Patcharapath Srithanyanon presided over the launch of the Pattaya City Police Station’s “Sustainable Community Drug Prevention and Resolution Project.”

The project, assigned by the Royal Thai Police, Region 2 Provincial Police, and Chonburi Provincial Police, aims to strengthen communities against drug-related issues. It seeks to improve public awareness of drug-related dangers and promote community-led solutions.

For the 2025 program, the Pattaya Police Station has selected Chumsai and two Arunothai communities to participate. The project will run for five months, from March 10th to August 10th, during which police officers will use measures within the communities to prevent drugs.

Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed among the Pattaya Police Station, the Royal Thai Police, Pattaya Pattama Hospital, educational institutions, and community representatives.
