17-Year-Old Stabs 19-Year-Old to Death in the Pattaya Area

Banglamung –

A 17 year-old male teenager was arrested after he stabbed a 19 year-old male teenager to death in Banglamung.

The Banglamung Police told the Pattaya News that on Thursday (March 13) they arrested the 17 year old male teenager for stabbing the 19-year-old to death. A knife wound under the victim’s left ribcage cut through the heart, resulting in the victim’s death at Banglamung Hospital. The incident occurred at a house in Banglamung, Chonburi. The young suspect was taken to recreate the crime scene as part of his confession.

The crime took place in a house that also operates as a boat repair shop. At the back of the shop, there is another residential building. Blood stains were found near a sofa, and a 32-centimeter-long knife and its sheath were found about one meter away, which the police took as evidence.

The suspect admitted that he attended a birthday party at 11:00 AM on March 13 for the homeowner’s child. Upon arrival, he saw his senior, the victim celebrating at the party. He admitted feeling uneasy as he had previous conflicts with the victim who often made disparaging remarks about him.

Before the incident, friends tried to mediate a conversation between them, but Mr. Jeab, the victim, allegedly insulted the suspect, Win, saying, “You won’t get far in life.” Infuriated, Win left the party, went to the kitchen, grabbed a knife, and returned to stab the victim causing him to fall to the ground. Win then fled the scene but later returned when he learned that Mr. Jeab was taken to the hospital. He called his mother and decided to surrender to the police.

Win further explained that he had known Mr. Jeab for nearly two years, having lived together at times, and was the one who introduced Mr. Jeab to his friends. They had a business venture together, but Mr. Jeab continuously belittled him. The final insult at the birthday party led to the fatal stabbing.

During the confession, Mrs. Rinyarat, Win’s 53-year-old mother, observed the proceedings. Win kneeled to apologize to his mother in tears. Mrs. Rinyarat shared that Win had called her, confessing to stabbing Mr. Jeab, which left her shocked. She knew they were once close but had issues recently, without knowing the details.

Ms. Ororn, the 18-year-old birthday celebrant, invited both of them to the party. She confirmed seeing them trying to reconcile before the stabbing occurred but was unaware of the specific conversation. After the stabbing, she called an ambulance and notified the police.

The perpetrator has been detained at Banglamung Police Station for further legal proceedings.
