Thailand, March 12th, 2025 â The Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast for March 13thâ18th, warning of rising temperatures and unstable weather across Thailand.
On March 13th, southwesterly and southeasterly winds will cover upper Thailand, including the North, Northeast, Central, and East, bringing hot weather and isolated thunderstorms with strong winds and hail in some areas, especially in the North and Northeast on March 14thâ15th.
From March 16thâ18th, a moderate high-pressure system from China will extend over northeastern Thailand and the South China Sea, causing variable weather with thunderstorms, strong winds, and possible lightning before temperatures cool down.
In the South, easterly and southeasterly winds will bring scattered thunderstorms from March 13thâ16th, mainly affecting provinces along the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea. Waves in the Gulf will reach up to 1 meter, increasing to 1â2 meters during storms.
From March 17thâ18th, stronger winds will lead to heavier rain and rougher seas, with waves reaching 1â2 meters in the lower Gulf and over 2 meters in stormy areas. Coastal provinces like Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla, and Pattani are expected to see increased rainfall.
Residents in upper Thailand are advised to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat.
