Teen Arrested in Pattaya for Selling E-Cigarettes Online

Pattaya —

A 19-year-old woman was arrested in Pattaya for illegally selling e-cigarettes on Facebook after falling into a police sting operation.

On March 12th, Mr. Patcharapath Sritanyanon, the district chief of Banglamung, revealed that he had ordered the Banglamung Special Operations Unit to conduct a sting operation to purchase illegal e-cigarettes. As a result, they arrested a 19-year-old woman and seized seven electronic cigarettes in Soi Boonsampan 11.

The operation was carried out after authorities learned that the suspect had been illegally selling e-cigarettes via Facebook. Law enforcement officials contacted the suspect and arranged a meeting in Soi Boonsampan 11.

When the seller delivered the e-cigarettes to an undercover agent, the officers immediately revealed their identities, arrested the suspect, and confiscated seven e-cigarettes. The suspect reportedly admitted to selling e-cigarettes, stating that she had purchased them from a supplier and resold them on Facebook for 350 baht each.

The suspect was handed over to officers at the Nongprue Police Station to face legal proceedings.
