Bangkok, March 12th, 2025 — Ramathibodi Hospital in Bangkok issued a statement updating the situation following a fire at the main building (Building 1) on the night of March 11th.

The fire caused damage to the building and forced hospital staff to evacuate 191 patients to safety within the hospital. One staff member suffered smoke inhalation while assisting with the evacuation and is currently receiving care in the ICU.

The fire affected radiology and pathology services in the main building, with some services temporarily relocated to the Somdech Phra Debaratana Building. Engineers have confirmed no radiation leaks.
Blood donation services are currently limited due to space constraints.
