Sri Racha —
A group of Chinese men dined at a popular buffet restaurant in Sri Racha, Chonburi, before fleeing without paying.
On March 10th, local reporters received a report about a group of Chinese people in the Bo Win area who dined at a well-known buffet restaurant and left without paying.
The reporters visited Mr. Yutthanun, the restaurant owner, who revealed that on March 8th, at around 7:30 PM, three Chinese men entered the restaurant and took a seat. About 30 minutes later, another Chinese man arrived in a white sedan, parked behind the restaurant, and then joined them inside. The staff issued a bill for four people and placed it on their table.
At 8:27 PM, after finishing their meal, the staff handed them the bill and asked them to proceed to the counter for payment. However, one of the Chinese men crumpled the bill and left it on the table. At that moment, the staff were busy attending to other customers due to the high number of diners, and they did not notice that the group had left through the back of the restaurant, got into the sedan, and drove away.
Mr. Yutthanun added that his restaurant had previously encountered customers who forgot to pay, usually because they assumed someone else in their group had already covered the bill. In such cases, when the restaurant posted about the incident on a local social media page, the customers would always reach out to settle their payment.
However, this time, after posting about the incident, there was no response. The total bill amounted to 1,082 baht, and based on their behavior, it appeared that the group had intentionally avoided paying.
Mr. Yutthanun stated that he would file a police report to seek legal action against the group and request authorities to track them down.
