Pattaya —
Khao Kheow Open Zoo near Pattaya is inviting the public to help name its newest baby zebra and win exciting prizes.
On March 2nd, Mr. Narongwit Chodchoi, Director of the Khao Kheow Open Zoo, announced that the zoo had welcomed its newest member—a female zebra foal born on November 6th, 2024, to a 6-year-old mother and an 8-year-old father. The baby is in good health but has yet to be named.
To engage visitors and the public, Khao Kheow Open Zoo is inviting everyone to participate in a naming contest, choosing between “Mahor” and “Lai Thai.” Participants have a chance to win one of three 16-inch “Moo Deng” plush toys or one of ten “One Pass, All Access” tickets. Voting is open exclusively via the zoo’s Facebook page through this link: https://forms.gle/j39RStk3WgvgUWDH8 from now until March 15th, 2025, at 4:30 PM.
The name with the highest votes will be selected as the winner, and all voters will be entered into a lucky draw for the prizes. The official list of winners will be announced on Sunday, March 30th, 2025, via the zoo’s Facebook page: Khao Kheow Open Zoo.
According to the zoo’s veterinarians, both the mother and father are in excellent health, with the mother closely caring for her young. Currently, Khao Kheow Open Zoo houses a herd of four zebras, including the newborn. Visitors are invited to meet the adorable zebra at the African animal exhibit.
