Pattaya –

A young Danish man sustained injuries from several stab wounds in the Pattaya area on Friday night (February 28th). However, the cause is a mystery as the victim declined to give details, press charges, or go to a hospital.

Emergency responders were notified of the incident at 10:36 P.M. on Chalerm Phrakiet Road in Nongprue, Banglamung. They and the Pattaya News team arrived at the scene to find the victim, identified only as Mr. Daniel, 22, a Danish national. His right arm and side of his head were bleeding heavily. However, he said he was rattled over the incident and refused to go to a hospital or give details about the suspect or what had happened. Pattaya City Police were then called to the scene.

Ms. Sai, 22 a Thai national, told the Pattaya News that she saw the injured tourist bleeding heavily before she called emergency responders but she had no idea what happened to him. Police are checking CCTV footage to determine what occurred as of press time but without the victim pressing charges or wanting to disclose further details, under Thai law, options may be limited to move forward legally.

After medical care at the scene and speaking with police, Mr. Daniel once again declined going to a hospital and left on his own power.
