Korean Driver Dies after Early Morning Car Crash in the Pattaya Area

A Korean driver sadly died after he crashed a car into a truck in Nongprue on Saturday in the early morning (March 1st).

Emergency responders were notified of the accident at 3:06 A.M. on the Motorway 7 Section 5 (Bangkok – Chonburi). They and the Pattaya News team arrived at the scene to find a damaged small car on the road. The driver who was later identified only as Mr. Lee, 43, Korean national, was pronounced dead at the scene after he was found stuck inside the car.

Nearby rescue teams also found a container truck. The driver, identified only as Mr. Korrakot, 33, told the Pattaya News that the Korean man crashed his car into the rear end of his truck while he was driving and that Korrakot said he was not at fault.

However, the Highway Police are checking CCTV footage nearby to find the exact cause of the accident. Highway police stated that their initial expert analysis of the wreckage of the vehicle appeared to point towards speed possibly being in a factor in the accident.
