Devotees Honor Lord Shiva at Mahashivratri 2025 in Pattaya

Pattaya —

Several devotees gathered at the Mahakali Avatar Chakraval Chonnani Shrine on Phra Tamnak Hill in Pattaya to celebrate Mahashivratri 2025, honoring Lord Shiva with sacred rituals and prayers.

The shrine, in collaboration with the Vishva Hindu Parishad Association, led by Mrs. Amporn Kaewsang, the founder of the shrine, and Dr. D.O. Kumar Singh, Vice President of the Vishva Hindu Parishad Association, organized the annual Mahashivratri festival for the year 2025.

The ceremony was led by Trivani BABA, a revered Brahmin priest, and attended by numerous devoted followers, Indian businesspeople, and members of the public from Pattaya and nearby areas.

The event featured the ritual bathing of the Shiva Lingam, a sacred symbol of Lord Shiva, with offerings such as milk, yogurt, honey, and butter. Fruits were also presented as a symbol of prosperity, incense for wealth, lamps for wisdom, and betel leaves for worldly happiness, accompanied by the chanting of “Om Namah Shivaya.”

Mahashivratri is held in honor of Lord Shiva, one of the principal deities of Hinduism. It is a significant night when Hindus gather to worship Shiva in a sacred observance that falls on the 15th night of the waning moon in the Hindu calendar—corresponding to late February or early March in the Thai lunar calendar.
