Bangkok, February 25th, 2025 – Bangkok police arrested an Iranian man accused of sexually assaulting a female ride-hailing driver while she was transporting a passenger.
The suspect, publicly identified as Mohsen Teimourbalghour, 31, was detained at Suvarnabhumi Airport on the night of February 24th while attempting to flee Thailand, according to the police.
The incident occurred on February 23rd when the female driver sought help at a police post after allegedly being assaulted by the suspect. She later filed a complaint with Lumpini Police Station, prompting investigators to review CCTV footage and collect evidence.
Authorities identified the suspect and secured an arrest warrant on charges of committing an indecent act against a person over 15 years old through coercion and force.
Lumpini police coordinated with Immigration Bureau officers, who tracked the suspect to Suvarnabhumi Airport. He was intercepted at the immigration checkpoint before boarding a flight out of Thailand.
The suspect was handed over to Lumpini Police for further questioning and legal proceedings.
