Authorities have confirmed the tragic fate of a Thai woman who mysteriously disappeared in Oman. “Nong Mind,” a young woman from Thailand, was found dead after allegedly being assaulted and killed by her Bangladeshi boyfriend. Her body was reportedly burned on a mountain in an attempt to conceal the crime.

The case recently gained attention after social media users in Lampang province shared images of Nong Mind with visible injuries on her face and body. According to initial reports, she had traveled to Salalah, Oman, to visit her boyfriend but lost contact with her family for over three months. Before disappearing, she had informed a friend that her boyfriend had been physically abusing her. After that, Nong Mind completely lost contact with her family.

In the latest development, at 8:30 AM on February 24th, Nong Mind’s friend, Achara, told reporters via phone that the victim’s boyfriend had reportedly confessed to the crime. He admitted to torturing and killing Nong Mind before stuffing her body into a sofa and burning her on a mountain in Oman two months ago. Nong Mind’s parents were devastated by the news, especially by the cruel nature of her death.

Today, the Pavena Foundation for Children and Women will work with relevant authorities and Interpol to make sure justice is served for the victim. Thai officials are now waiting for an official confirmation from Omani authorities regarding the case.
