Sattahip, Chonburi – The Supphaluang Police Station, with assistance from the Ban Chang Police Station, apprehended a 63-year-old man known as Mr. Boonliep “Nok” Pichet, who had been on the run after a high-profile burglary.

The arrest was made at 6:45 a.m. on February 18th, 2025, following a operation led by Pol. Col. Khomsan Khamtunkaew, Superintendent of Supphaluang Police Station, and Pol. Lt. Col. Chaimongkhon Chanthaprom, his deputy. Acting on a search warrant issued by the Rayong Provincial Court, police raided a house in Village 5 in Ban Chang.

The burglary in question took place on January 26th, 2025, around 9:15 p.m., at a residence in Km. 101 Village, Sattahip. The thief, later identified as Nok, broke into the house by cutting the lock, making off with valuables including several gold items and luxury watches, totaling an estimated value of 299,250 baht.
Among the stolen items were:
  • A 3 baht gold necklace with a gold-framed Buddha image, valued at 145,000 baht
  • A 1 baht gold necklace, valued at 48,000 baht
  • A gold anklet for children, valued at 14,000 baht
  • Two gold rings with diamonds for weddings, valued at 58,000 baht
  • Various watches including G-shock, Diesel, Fossil, and Tissot models, summing up to 40,000 baht in value
The breakthrough in the case came when CCTV footage captured a man on a blue and black Yamaha motorcycle, scouting the area before the crime. This footage helped trace the suspect’s movements, resulting in the discovery of the same motorcycle used during the burglary at the raided house.

Upon searching, police recovered several items directly linked to the crime, including:
  • The Yamaha motorcycle
  • A black helmet, shoes, and clothing matching the description from the CCTV footage
  • A cloth bag used in the burglary
  • Some of the stolen jewelry and a TISSOT watch
Mr. Boonliep confessed to the crime, revealing he had sold some of the stolen goods to purchase another gold necklace and had used some of the proceeds for gambling.
The police have called on any other potential victims of Mr. Boonliep to come forward, as more charges might be filed based on additional evidence or complaints.
