Out of Season Heavy Rain Causes Flooding in Eastern Banglamung

Banglamung – Continuous heavy rain in mostly Eastern Banglamung District for over an hour caused flooding in many areas, with water levels reaching up to 50 cm. The flooding rendered small cars unable to pass, prompting officials to take swift action.

On February 18th, 2025, at 3:30 PM, reporters observed that the heavy rain had resulted in significant flooding. The most affected areas were Sukhumvit-Pattaya 15 Road, Soi Nong Ket Yai Road, and the railway road, with water levels peaking at over 50 cm. The central area of Pattaya, however, and Jomtien avoided the rainstorms.

They prohibited small cars, including both cars and motorcycles, from passing through the heavily flooded areas to prevent damage and potential danger. Despite these measures, several vehicles attempted to traverse the water, resulting in engine stalls and damage as water entered the engine compartments.Once the rain subsided, officials worked quickly to drain the water, and traffic returned to normal shortly thereafter.
