Illegal Street Race on Motorway Route 7 in Sri Racha Ends in Crash, Four People Injured and 13 Cars Damaged

A high-speed illegal street race on Motorway Route 7 in Sri Racha ended in a multi-car pileup, injuring four people and damaging more than ten vehicles.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 AM on February 16th, when the cars were seen recklessly overtaking and cutting each other off before a collision occurred on Motorway Route 7 in Sri Racha district of Chonburi province. Rescue workers and police arrived at the scene to assist the injured, clear the area, and summon those involved for questioning and legal action.

On February 17th, authorities reported that there were 13 damaged vehicles in total. According to one of the drivers, the crash began when one car driver lost control and rear-ended multiple other cars, leading to the massive collision.

Investigations at the scene affirmed that the road was dry, had adequate lighting, and there was no rainfall at the time of the crash. The four injured individuals mainly suffered chest pain from airbag impacts. Authorities are continuing to investigate the exact cause of the accident, including reviewing CCTV footage and questioning all involved drivers.
