Pattaya Officials Demolish Illegal Structures in Jomtien Soi 3 to Curb Drug Activities

Pattaya —

Pattaya officials demolished illegal structures on Soi Jomtien 3 to clear a known drug hotspot to restore public safety.

On the morning of February 17th, Pattaya Mayor Mr. Poramase Ngampichet led an on-site inspection of a building demolition linked to drug-related activities on Soi Jomtien 3. He was accompanied by Pattaya Police Chief Pol. Col. Navin Teerawit.

The operation followed a recent “Big Cleaning” crackdown aimed at addressing drug issues in the area. The area consisted of buildings that had been illegally occupied and converted into around 30 makeshift shelters.

Over time, it deteriorated into a hotspot for drug-related activities. Today, several agencies worked together to demolish the building to restore public safety.
