Bangkok, February 16th, 2025 – Thai police issued an arrest warrant for Mr. Duoying Wu, a 37-year-old Chinese national, in connection with the death of Ms. Airada, 22, found dead in a Bangkok hotel on February 10th.
Wu, who entered Thailand legally on February 1st with a visa valid until July, is charged with negligence causing death after CCTV showed him arriving at the hotel late on February 9th and leaving alone early the next morning. The victim’s body was discovered shortly after by the hotel staff.
Airada, hired as an entertainer for Wu, was found naked with drugs, including the synthetic party drug “Happy Water” and ketamine, in the room. The substances are being tested for confirmation.
Wu, who has visited Thailand multiple times and speaks Thai, is now on an immigration watchlist, preventing him from leaving the country, according to the police. He remains at large as of press time with police believing he may be attempting to illegally leave Thailand.
Police are also questioning the modeling agency that arranged the victim’s job and investigating chat messages instructing her to use drugs. If found culpable, the agency may face legal action for human trafficking.
The hotel denied involvement, stating it only provided accommodation, and CCTV footage showed no agency personnel on the night of the incident. This was reportedly Airada’s first time accepting such work, according to the source.
The victim’s family was contacted by an intermediary linked to Wu, offering 100,000 baht for funeral expenses without clarifying motives. Police have formed a committee to investigate any misconduct or legal violations related to the case.
