Pattaya City Sign Upgrade to Be Completed by February 27th, 2025

Pattaya —

Pattaya City is giving its iconic Pattaya City sign a fresh new look with improved lighting, set to be completed by February 27th, 2025.

Deputy Mayor of Pattaya Mr. Manoch Nongyai recently went to inspect the progress of the Pattaya City sign lighting improvement project and tested the lighting system. The contractor was on hand to explain the details and demonstrate the lighting system to the deputy.

Mr. Manoch revealed that Pattaya City has been improving the lighting of the Pattaya City sign to improve the landmark’s appeal. The sign on Pratumnak Hill has been a symbol of Pattaya for over 20 years and has deteriorated over time.

To maintain the city’s world-class image, the city decided to upgrade the sign, with the project starting on October 1st, 2024. Mr. Manoch revealed that the contractor has completed 90% of the lighting improvement, with the remaining work involving the installation of lights on the Pattaya City letters.

The entire project is scheduled for full completion on February 27th, 2025. After the completion of all the work, patterns will also be painted on the ground to attract tourists who come to take pictures at the sign.

In addition, decorative lights with various features have been installed for tourists to enjoy every day from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. During holidays and public holidays, there will be a colorful light show alternating throughout the night. On days when there is no special light show, the installed lights will display the color of the day, Mr. Manoch said.
