In the early hours of February 13th, 2025, more than 500 officers from Pattaya City Police, Chonburi Immigration, and related agencies conducted large-scale drug raids in Pattaya areas under the government’s anti-drug campaign.
Two key locations in Pattaya were raided, including a commercial building in Soi Pattaya Klang 16, where six drug users tested positive. Another building in Soi Paniadchang 8 saw 20 drug users and four dealers arrested, along with drug paraphernalia. Authorities reported unsanitary conditions, posing significant health risks.
In Nong Prue, a 50-rai rental area with 150 houses was searched, leading to the arrest of 14 drug users and 22 undocumented migrants. Banglamung Police also arrested a 32-year-old municipal worker with 40 grams of crystal meth.
Pol. Maj. Gen. Thawatchakiat Jindakhuansong, Chonburi Police Chief, said the operation, part of the ‘Parasite Clean-Up EP.4’ initiative, covered 115 locations across the province, with monthly raids planned to tackle the drug problem.
Pattaya officials and police had previously targeted under this campaign the Jomtien Soi 2 and 3 area and after successfully stopping the majority of drug issues here have moved to other areas of Pattaya.
