Thailand, February 12th, 2025 – The Thai Meteorological Department forecasted that Thailand’s summer will begin later than usual, around late February—two weeks behind schedule—and last until mid-May.

According to the Thai Meteorological Department, the season will bring periods of intense heat, with occasional thunderstorms providing some relief. The hottest days, with peak temperatures of 35-36°C, are expected from late March to mid-April.

This is close to the seasonal average but lower than last year’s peak of 37.5°C. Rainfall is projected to be 10-20% above normal.

However, summer storms could cause damage in several regions, bringing thunderstorms, strong winds, and isolated hail. Meanwhile, rainfall will still be insufficient in many areas, particularly drought-prone regions outside irrigation zones.

Authorities urge the public to conserve water and prepare for potential weather-related disruptions.
