Pattaya Officials Inspect Progress of Lan Pho Naklua Seafood Market Renovation

Pattaya

Pattaya officials recently inspected the nearly completed renovation of Lan Pho Naklua, which is set to become a modern seafood market.

On February 11th, Pattaya Deputy Mayor Mr. Wuttisak Ruemkijakarn visited Lan Pho Naklua to inspect the progress of its transformation into a modern seafood market. He was joined by local government officials, relevant agencies, and locals.

Mr. Wuttisak stated that the renovation aimed to provide a well-organized space for both tourists and locals to enjoy fresh seafood. The project includes building a new and hygienic vendor area.

Vendors, who were previously relocated due to earlier renovations, will soon be moved back to the newly upgraded area. The new market will accommodate up to 60 vendors, with no additional stalls from outside the area to maintain order.

With 90% of the construction completed, Mr. Wuttisak stated that the market is expected to significantly boost local incomes. Measures will also be in place to manage waste and wastewater. Meanwhile, vendors are encouraged to maintain fair pricing and cleanliness to improve the market’s reputation.
