A man caught on video using drugs in a Jomtien alley has been arrested after the clip went viral.
A video showing a young man openly using drugs in an alley in Jomtien, Pattaya, despite many tourists walking by, recently went viral on Thai social media.
In response to the incident, Pattaya police searched the alley on February 10th and finally arrested the suspect, 32-year-old Mr. Nantawut, on Thappraya Road. He reportedly admitted to being the person in the video and confessed to using drugs.
Mr. Nantawut underwent a urine test, which confirmed the presence of illegal substances in his system. He was then taken into custody for legal proceedings.
Pattaya police urged residents to report any drug-related activities or illegal behavior to the Pattaya Police Station, which is available 24/7.
