Pattaya, February 8th, 2025 – Previously, a viral video showing over 100 people, initially claiming, but incorrectly, to be Indian tourists, occupying Pattaya Beach with rented mats, drinking alcohol, and leaving behind piles of trash sparked public outrage.
Authorities, including Pattaya police, immigration officers, and representatives from the local Indian community, conducted a late-night inspection on February 8th.
They reportedly found that the individuals in question were mostly migrant workers, not Indian tourists, who regularly gathered at the beach after work to drink and socialize, sometimes staying overnight. Officials urged them to maintain cleanliness and avoid overcrowding the beachfront.
During the inspection, officers spotted a 39-year-old Ugandan woman acting suspiciously. When approached for identification, she reportedly attempted to flee but collapsed into convulsions on the sand. Medical staff were called to assist her but reportedly later said they could find nothing wrong.

A passport check revealed she had overstayed her visa by 603 days since 2023. She was taken into custody for further legal action and deportation proceedings.
