Pattaya —

An American motorcyclist died after losing control and crashing into trees on Thappraya Road in Pattaya.

At 4:36 AM on February 6th, the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Center received a report of a fatal motorcycle accident on Thappraya Road near Soi Thappraya 9 in Pattaya. Police coordinated with rescue volunteers to respond to the scene.

At the location, they found the body of Mr. Leo Williams, a 53-year-old American national, lying lifeless in a pool of blood on the median. He had sustained severe chest injuries and the sight shocked bystanders. Two palm trees were uprooted from the impact. Mr. Leo’s black Kawasaki Z1000 motorcycle left an oil trail over 300 meters before coming to a stop on the road.

According to an unidentified witness, the victim was riding at allegedly high speed when he lost control at a curve and violently slammed into the trees. CCTV footage partially captured the incident, which appeared to show the victim crashing into the median at high speed. Authorities transferred Mr. Leo’s body to a local Pattaya Hospital to await his family to arrange for religious rites.
