Pattaya —
Pattaya Police inspected popular nightlife spots last night to conduct safety checks and drug tests on tourists.
At 11:36 PM on January 3rd, Pattaya Police joined forces with Tourist Police Division 4 and Chonburi Immigration officers to inspect nightlife venues in Pattaya.
The operation followed the “Five Safety Policy,” which includes 1) public safety, 2) a drug-free environment, 3) a weapon-free zone, 4) prevention of human trafficking, and 5) enforcement against illegal foreign visitors.
The officers first inspected World House, a popular venue among foreign tourists on Third Road. They found only a few customers inside and proceeded to check identification documents and conduct drug tests. No illegal activities or violations were found.
Next, officers visited Space Club, which had a large number of customers. Authorities immediately ordered to turn on the lights, turned off the music, and separated male and female guests. They then checked identification documents and randomly tested for drugs. Again, no illegal substances or violations were found.
