Pattaya Enforces Odd-Even Parking Rules on South Pattaya Road to Ease Traffic Congestion

Pattaya —

Pattaya City is cracking down on parking violations with strict odd-even rules on South Pattaya Road, starting February 3rd, 2025.

At 3:30 PM on February 3rd, Pattaya Mayor Mr. Poramase Ngampichet conducted an on-site inspection of the odd-even parking regulation on South Pattaya Road. The regulation aims to ease traffic congestion and regulate sidewalks along an 850-meter stretch from Suesarn Intersection to Wat Chaimongkol Intersection.

Mayor Poramase stated that South Pattaya Road experiences heavy traffic, and an odd-even parking rule has been in place for some time in cooperation with Pattaya Police. However, due to limited police manpower, the city has now enacted a municipal team to oversee the enforcement.

From February 3rd onward, Pattaya City and the police will strictly enforce the regulation by deploying two shifts of 12 officers each from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Officers will be stationed along the route to prevent parking violations.

Pattaya City now has the authority to wheel-lock vehicles and issue fines. For the first month, violators will receive warnings.

Pattaya City urges all motorists to follow the new odd-even parking regulation on South Pattaya Road. Business operators may experience some inconvenience, but these measures are for the greater good, Mayor Poramase said.
