Pattaya —

Thai immigration police arrested a 27-year-old Israeli fugitive in Pattaya for overstaying his visa after discovering he was wanted for a brutal assault in Tel Aviv.

The suspect, identified by police only as 27-year-old Israeli national Mr. T, was arrested on February 3rd, after he was found to be listed on an Interpol Red Notice for a serious crime in Israel. Officers arrested him for overstaying his visa and revoked his permission to stay in Thailand.

Pol. Maj. Gen. Chairit Anurit, the leader of the operation, stated that Mr. T was involved in a violent attack in Tel Aviv, where he and his accomplice lured a victim to their apartment, repeatedly struck the victim’s head with a bottle, and stabbed them multiple times in the neck, leaving the victim critically injured.

The Tel Aviv District Court had already issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of aggravated assault, which carries a sentence of over 23 years in prison.

Investigators also found that after the attack, Mr. T fled Israel using a fake passport after learning that his accomplice had been arrested. He later entered Thailand and hid in Pattaya in late 2024. Immigration officers apprehended him in Central Pattaya and are coordinating with relevant authorities to process his extradition back to his country.
