Pattaya Man Arrested for Firing Gun During Dispute, Damaging Vehicle

Pattaya —

A fight broke out in Pattaya after two rival groups tried to settle an old dispute. One man fired a shot, damaging a car, before being arrested.

On February 2nd at 9:00 AM, Pattaya police arrested 24-year-old Mr. Aniwat, also known as “Nick,” at his residence in Pattaya. He was arrested for firing a gun during a dispute with his rivals, which damaged a vehicle. However, Mr. Aniwat claimed the firearm he used was a toy gas gun. He was taken to Pattaya Police Station for further questioning, along with four other individuals involved in the incident.

According to police, two rival groups met earlier to settle an old dispute but failed to reach an agreement. Mr. Aniwat was then seen firing a gun at his rivals, but the bullet missed and hit a nearby vehicle instead.

Despite the claim, authorities are conducting gunpowder residue and DNA tests on Mr. Aniwat. As of press time, he was charged with assault, pending gunshot residue test results before police filed any more charges related to the firearm.
