Foreigner Caught on CCTV Breaking Into Pattaya Cannabis Shop and Stealing Over 10,000 Baht of Product

Pattaya – At 1:00 AM on February 3rd, 2025, Mr. Atipon Na Ruek, 35, presented CCTV footage of an incident where a foreigner smashed the glass door of his cannabis shop, breaking in and stealing products worth approximately 10,000 baht.

The incident occurred at Budbox Pattaya, located in front of the JA Plus Hotel on Soi Chalermprakiat 3 in Pattaya on February 2nd, 2025, at around 11:00 AM.

Mr. Atipon reported that the perpetrator was a regular customer who frequented the shop daily. On the day of the incident, the shop was closed, and no one was present, providing the opportunity for the crime. A complaint was initially filed at Pattaya Police Station with Pol. Lt. Col. Wuttinan Kongdee, Investigation Officer at the Pattaya City Police Station.

The police investigation team has since examined the CCTV footage and is working to track down the perpetrator for prosecution according to the law. Along with information provided by the shop owner and very clear CCTV footage they are confident the suspect will be arrested soon.

TPN media notes that cannabis has been decriminalized in Thailand since 2022 and as a result cannabis shops are legal in Pattaya.
