An alleged female drunk driver in Pattaya crashed into multiple parked vehicles, damaging over 10 motorcycles.
At 3:06 AM on January 31st, Pattaya police received a report of a pickup truck crashing into multiple parked vehicles on Pattaya Third Road, heading toward North Pattaya Road. Officers immediately went to the scene, along with reporters from The Pattaya News.
Upon arrival, police found a silver Toyota Vios severely damaged at the rear. Along a 100-meter stretch of the roadside, ten motorcycles had been knocked over and damaged. The responsible Toyota Vios was found over 500 meters from the crash site, with its front wheels bent from the impact.
The driver of the Toyota, 34-year-old Ms. Chalida, appeared intoxicated and was incoherent, according to police. A witness, whose car was the first to be hit, stated that he had parked and gone to buy something when he heard a loud crash. He rushed back to find the pickup driver had struck his car and then plowed into multiple parked motorcycles.
CCTV footage captured the moment the pickup driver hit the motorcycles, causing them to topple, before continuing to drive despite the damage.
Ms. Chalida underwent an alcohol test, which revealed a blood alcohol level of more than 100 mg%, far exceeding the legal limit. She was taken into custody for legal proceedings.
