Pattaya is set to host the national jet ski team selection competition for the 33rd SEA Games at Jomtien Beach this February.
At Pattaya City Hall, Deputy Mayor Mr. Krissana Boonsawat chaired a meeting to prepare for the national jet ski team selection competition for the 33rd SEA Games. The meeting was attended by Pattaya City Council members and relevant agencies, with representatives from the Jet Ski Association of Thailand.
Pattaya City, in collaboration with the Jet Ski Association of Thailand, will host the event from February 3rd to 10th, 2025, at Jomtien Beach in front of The Now Hotel. The competition aims to select athletes to represent Thailand in the 33rd SEA Games. It also aims to promote Pattaya and Chonburi as a hub for sports and sports tourism. Pattaya has been chosen as a venue for several sports during the SEA Games in December, including windsurfing, jet skiing, swimming, and modern pentathlon.
The jet ski selection will feature 11 categories, with six being official team selection rounds. These categories include:
- Endurance Open
- Runabout Stock
- Runabout 1100 Stock
- Ski GP
- Ski 1500 Stock
- Runabout Limited
