A sedan driver collided with a van and bus on Thappraya Road in Pattaya, resulting in two injured people.
At 7:36 AM on January 21st, the Pattaya Rescue Center received a report of a car accident on Thappraya Road, heading towards Jomtien Beach. Emergency responders immediately went to the scene, along with reporters from The Pattaya News.
Upon arrival, a grey bronze Honda Accord sedan was found wedged into the rear of a tour bus, causing significant damage. Inside the car, two injured people were found, Mr. Suriyaphong, 33, and Ms. Thanyachon, 31. Both were unable to exit the vehicle.
Rescue workers used hydraulic cutting tools to extricate them and provided first aid before quickly transporting them to the hospital.
Police also found another tour bus that had been sideswiped by the sedan driver, suffering damage to its side. Additionally, a Toyota van sustained minor damage.
The van’s driver, Mr. Sunthorn, 47, told The Pattaya News that he was on his way to pick up tourists at Jomtien Beach when the sedan driver suddenly swerved and collided with his vehicle. The impact nearly caused him to lose control and hit the central divider, but he managed to steer the van to the side of the road and was uninjured.
The sedan driver then crashed into the back of the tour bus, causing injuries. After the incident, Mr. Sunthorn immediately alerted the authorities.
Pattaya police are investigating the exact cause of the accident.
