Czech Tourist Reunited with Lost Backpack on Koh Phangan, Surat Thani

A Czech tourist was reunited with his lost backpack on Koh Phangan in Surat Thani, thanks to local police and a good Samaritan.

At the Frontline Operations Center of the Special Operations Unit, located on Koh Phangan, police officers from the the Special Operations Unit returned a lost backpack to a tourist.

Pol. Lt. Col. Charoenchai Boonklieng, the representing officer, stated that late last night, Mr. Jaromir Sojka, a 58-year-old Czech national, reported that he had lost his backpack, which contained a laptop with important data, cash, and other valuables. He sought help from the authorities to recover the bag.

Upon receiving the report, officers coordinated with local businesses and residents to help locate the missing backpack. A good Samaritan later found the backpack and handed it over to the authorities, who then contacted Mr. Jaromir to retrieve it.

Mr. Jaromir thanked the officers and said he was very surprised to have his belongings returned. He also praised the kindness and generosity of the Thai people, stating that he would definitely visit Thailand again.
