Pattaya

An SUV plunged into a construction pit on Pattaya Third Road early this morning, but the driver was safe.

At 4:36 AM on January 17th, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Center received a report of an SUV falling into a construction pit for underground power lines. The incident occurred on Pattaya Third Road, just before the North Pattaya intersection. Upon receiving the report, rescue workers quickly responded to the scene.

There, they found a Honda HR-V SUV, which had plunged into the 3-meter-deep construction pit. The vehicle was severely damaged.

The driver, identified only as 32-year-old Mr. Witwat, was standing nearby uninjured. He explained that he was heading toward North Pattaya when he did not notice the ongoing construction work and failed to see the pit in time. When he got closer to the hole, he could not brake in time and fell in. Fortunately, he was unharmed.
