A foreign man’s body was found floating in the sea near Jomtien Beach on the afternoon of January 16th.
At 1:30 PM on January 16th, 2025, Pattaya police received a report of a foreigner’s body found floating face-down in the sea near Jomtien Beach, opposite Soi Jomtien 14. Upon receiving the report, they immediately proceeded to the scene with rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation and The Pattaya News team.
Upon arrival, the rescue team dispatched an inflatable boat to search the area and discovered the body floating approximately 200 meters from the shore. The rescue team then brought the body back to the beach.
Police stated that the deceased was a foreign man of around 50 to 60 years old. He was wearing only white swimming trunks. No signs of physical assault were found on his body, and it was estimated that he had been dead for about 7-8 hours.
The body had been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the Police General Hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death and verify the identity.
