Chonburi and Pattaya See 24 Million Visitors in 2024, Generating 260 Billion Baht in Revenue

Chonburi and Pattaya welcomed over 24 million visitors in 2024, earning 260 billion baht, with even more growth expected in 2025.

The Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Pattaya’s Office, Mr. Chaiwat Tamthai, revealed that from January to November 2024, Chonburi province and Pattaya saw over 24 million visitors. This is a 17.92% increase compared to the same period last year, resulting in a total income of over 260 billion baht for the province, which is a 26.54% rise from the previous year.

The visitors include 10 million from abroad and 14 million local tourists. Tourism in the province is expected to grow by 25% in 2025, with 505,411 visitors already visiting the province from January 1st to 5th.

The top five international tourists visiting Chonburi and Pattaya were:

  • Chinese tourists (69,548),
  • Malaysian tourists (57,127),
  • Russian tourists (46,752),
  • South Korean tourists (28,160), and
  • Indian tourists (26,635)
