Pattaya —
A grass fire in Pattaya’s Soi Nongyai 8 damaged homes and caused panic among residents.
On January 14th, at 3:30 PM, a grass fire broke out and spread to houses in Soi Nongyai 8. Firefighters took over an hour to bring the blaze under control.
During the incident, residents in the area were in a state of panic. Many worked together to extinguish the flames. Some hurriedly grabbed belongings from their homes, while a passing water truck helped spray water to contain the fire before two fire engines from Pattaya City arrived at the scene.
Local residents suspected that the fire may have been caused by a group of teenagers who often gathered to drink kratom juice near the site of the blaze. It is believed that someone may have discarded a cigarette butt into the grass, which may have sparked the fire.
However, when questioned, the group of teenagers denied any involvement. They claimed they did not know who started the fire or how it began.
Police will review CCTV footage in the area to identify the person responsible and proceed with legal action.
