Transgender Woman Attacked by Foreigner in Pattaya Sparks Online Outrage

Pattaya —

A transgender woman claimed she was attacked by a foreign man in Pattaya near Pattaya Beach. The incident led to widespread outrage online.

The story initially came to light on a Thai Facebook page named “เจ๊ม้อยV+,” which alleged that a foreign man had attacked a transgender woman in Pattaya, leaving her injured. The page also shared photos of the man and a video of the attack, which caused an uproar on social media.

The victim, identified only as Ms. Pang, 27, said to the media that the incident happened near Pattaya Beach. She explained that the man insulted and mocked her in front of a crowd, making her feel embarrassed. She confronted him and told him to leave. However, he returned, mocked her again, and even tried to pay others nearby to harm her, but no one agreed.

Later, the man walked toward a restroom between Soi 13/3 and 13/4. Ms. Pang followed him to demand an apology and threatened to call the police if he didn’t apologize. Instead, the man allegedly punched her, causing her to fall and get hurt. He then rode off on a motorcycle, laughing as he left, according to the victim.

Ms. Pang gathered evidence, including CCTV footage, and filed a complaint with the Pattaya Police. She said the man’s actions showed disrespect toward Thai people and the law, as well as the LGBTQIA+ community, which might encourage others to act similarly. She also claimed that a friend of hers had faced a similar situation with the same foreigner but didn’t report it.

Ms. Pang urged the police to arrest the man as soon as possible and warned Thai people to stay cautious, as not all tourists have good intentions.
