Pattaya —

Crowds of tourists headed to Bali Hai Pier in Pattaya yesteday to catch ferries to Koh Larn, making the most of the first weekend after the New Year.

On the afternoon of January 5th, 2025, local reporters observed the bustling tourism atmosphere on the first holiday following New Year at Bali Hai Pier in South Pattaya.

The pier is the main departure point for ferries to Koh Larn. A steady stream of Thai and foreign tourists were seen boarding ferries to go to Koh Larn to enjoy a relaxing day on the island. The recently installed roof over the pier’s walkway provided much-needed shade for visitors.

Officials from Pattaya’s Marine Department reported a significant influx of both Thai and foreign tourists using ferry services over the last weekend. Russian visitors comprised a large portion of the international tourists, alongside many Thai travelers, the officials noted.
