Pattaya —

Pattaya police set up a checkpoint to give energy drinks to road users to prevent accidents during the New Year holiday.

At 10:36 PM on December 28th, police officers from the Pattaya Police Station set up a checkpoint to prevent traffic accidents and provide assistance to tourists during the New Year holiday. Their main focus was to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking alcohol and driving.

The checkpoint was located at the intersection inside Soi Naklua 27 in Pattaya. Officers also conducted random searches on individuals passing through the checkpoint to look for illegal items such as drugs, and firearms. Additionally, they reminded people to securely lock their homes and encouraged the “Leave Your Home with the Police” program.

After completing each search, officers then gave away energy drinks, soft drinks, and bottled water to the public passing through the checkpoint to help them stay alert and as New Year’s gifts.
